I’m Tasha.

I’m a Pilates-based movement educator and the founder of Move Anyway. I’m also a person who has experienced a cancer diagnosis firsthand. As a dancer since the age of two and a movement educator for over a decade, I’ve long believed that movement is deeply connected to how we live, heal, and experience the world. Movement has always been my medicine.

That belief took on new meaning in March 2022, when I was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive connective tissue cancer.

During treatment, movement shifted from something familiar and joyful to something foreign and far less straightforward—but no less essential. In the midst of fear, uncertainty, and profound physical limitations, I began exploring what it really means to adapt and access movement to support continued living through the unknown.

My movement practice throughout treatment and beyond is what has helped me find strength beyond the physical and heal from all that cancer has put in my path. Grief, anger, confusion, anxiety, sadness… neuropathy, pain, fatigue, balance difficulties…I have moved through every emotion and side effect to bring myself back time and time again. I’m honored to offer this now to you.

Move Anyway was born from that experience. Through compassionate, Pilates-based support, I help anyone impacted by cancer move safely, without overwhelm, and reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels grounding, supportive, and empowering.
